Badi and Choti Patan Devi
Bihar Tourism distinguishes Badi Patan Devi from Choti Patan Devi in Patna. Both names occur in the city's Goddess traditions, so a reference simply to 'Patan Devi' is not enough to identify the entrance, neighbourhood or shrine shown in a photograph.
This directory's Magadh association is a devotional classification. To plan a visit, first choose Badi or Choti Patan Devi and then verify that shrine's address. The age of the tradition should not be used as a construction date for every part of the present temple.
Names recorded in the tradition
- Goddess
- Mata Sarvanandkari / Patneshwari
- Bhairava
- Vyomkesh
- Sati association in this list
- Right Thigh (Dakshina Uru)
These are devotional associations, not archaeological findings. Lists and local identifications can differ.
