Alopi and Lalita Devi are separate temples
Prayagraj's district guide lists Lalita Devi at Mirapur and Alopi Devi at Alopibagh separately. Lalita Devi is described as a Shakti shrine with a prominent temple structure. Alopi Devi is associated with a covered cot or cradle in the sanctum. The shared Peetha discussion should not turn these two addresses into one temple.
Choose the shrine by its local name when planning a visit. A route to Alopibagh is not a route to Mirapur, and a photograph of one should not be used as proof of the appearance of the other. This directory retains both names to explain the distinction rather than to declare their traditions identical.
Names recorded in the tradition
- Goddess
- Mata Lalita / Alopankari
- Bhairava
- Bhava
- Sati association in this list
- All Fingers (Anguli)
These are devotional associations, not archaeological findings. Lists and local identifications can differ.
