Vishalakshi within the sacred geography of Kashi
Vishalakshi is a Goddess shrine in Varanasi's old city. India's tourism guide presents her worship alongside the city's better-known Shiva shrines and explains the name as the wide-eyed Goddess. The Peetha tradition is one way of understanding this relationship; it does not make every Kashi temple part of the same building.
