Suchindram and its composite temple tradition
The Kanniyakumari district temple guide describes Suchindram separately from the coastal Kumari Amman shrine. Suchindram is known for the Thanumalayan temple and its combined association with Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma. The Narayani Peetha entry is a further devotional identification, not a reason to call the entire complex a different temple.
When asking about the Goddess shrine, use both Narayani and Suchindram. This helps distinguish the particular tradition under discussion from a general account of the larger temple's architecture and worship.
Names recorded in the tradition
- Goddess
- Mata Narayani
- Bhairava
- Sanhar / Samhara
- Sati association in this list
- Upper Teeth (Urdhva Danta)
These are devotional associations, not archaeological findings. Lists and local identifications can differ.
